Snowman Craft of the Day

Both of my kids are infatuated with snowmen.  They love to read stories about them, sing about them, and one day I'm sure they will love to make one if we ever get a good snow.  So for today's craft, I figured something about snowmen would be perfect.  I was going to do paper plate snowmen but decided to save that for another day.  Instead, we did construction paper snowmen with white paint snowflakes.  I helped them place the pieces and helped hand over hand with the eyes and buttons.  But the rest is their work.  Here are the finished projects:

Then she added some fringe with scissors!  I'm going to be so sad having to commute to work tomorrow.  It's been so fun spending more time with the kids this past week...

My Little Artists

Well, the federal government is on a three-hour delay tomorrow, so I get another day of telework!!!  Which means I can stay up late and post on my blog :)!  I try to have the kids do some fun crafts as often as possible.  Their favorite right now is painting.  Colton is quite the little artist!  So we broke out the paints today after a less then successful attempt at teaching them how to play junior versions of Candy Land and Monopoly (they did pretty well for the first time playing, but they are a long way from playing on their own!)

Colton had a nice masterpiece going on until he bought into Kaitlyn's idea of mixing all of the colors until they turned a lovely shade of brown.

 

They had fun...and that's what matters!  And, I may be a little biased, but I think their finished works turned out fantastic!
