Santa Handprint Ornaments

My parents' neighbor and good friend sent me an idea for a salt dough ornament shaped by your child's handprint and painted like Santa.  They're adorable!  We did those for our craft today, and they turned out so cute.  But I am definitely rethinking using them as ornaments...they're a little heavy for the tree branches!

Gingerbread House

We're having the annual Ladies Christmas Tea at our church this weekend, and I was commissioned to make one of the gingerbread houses.  It was fun.  I don't think I've ever made one before, so I just bought the kit at Michaels.  Here's the final result:

It turned out pretty well, I think.  I can't wait for this weekend...Flat Iron Farm lights on Friday, Sotterly Family Plantation Christmas Saturday morning, and Ladies Christmas Tea Saturday afternoon!  And my mom is coming to the tea!! Fun, fun, fun!  I love this time of year!

Mom's Birthday Gift

So I am venturing into the world of pillow making this year for my mom's birthday present and Christmas gifts for both of my grandmothers.  Here is the first one....

I'm thrilled with how it turned out, and I absolutely loved shopping for all of the supplies at JoAnn Fabrics!  I saw so many different fabrics that I would have a blast working into various projects some day!
